Her-story, Anna (25)
I was born in a small town called Kohtla-Järve, but 6 years ago moved to Tartu, the city of good thoughts, to study at university. In 2011, I graduated with my Master's degree in Semiotic and Culture Theories. Along my studies, I've been involved into youth activities: first as a participant, then professionally, from January 2009. I started as a coordinator for EVS projects in Estonian UNESCO Youth Association (EUYA). In August 2010 was elected to the Board of EUYA. The experience gained thanks to youth work showed me the value of intercultural dialogue and youth mobility; it also developed my social skills and organisational skills, since mostly I was/am dealing with NGO administration, project management, and marketing. My main fields of interest are: employability and job-seekers support, minority inclusion, management of socio-cultural events, open-air social animation, etc. I came to Poland to learn more about open space technology, CSR, oral history, human library, and other methods new for me.
His-story, Piotrek (27)
I was born in multicultural city of Wroclaw where in every corner you can find an important story behind. My adventure with youth work started in 2004 when I, for the first time in my life, got contact with non-formal education. In 2005 I was among those people who established UNESCO Initiatives Centre. For over 7 years I'm working mainly as project coordinator and trainer. I often run training on civic education and active participation, intercultural learning and project management. As well one of my main interest is coopearation with Eastern Europe and Caucasus Region. Since 2008 I'm responsible for network of UNESCO club and centres in Poland. During my intern I would like to get more knowlegde and experience on organising street actions, street animation and street art.
